Please remember that tomorrow is a half day of school. The doors will open at 8:30 and dismissal is at 12:25. Please have your child bring a filling snack since they will not have lunch until later than usual. It is also a hat day spirit day to support the Willett PTO. Students may donate $1 and wear a hat for the day. Please know that this isn’t a “crazy” hat day. I have asked the children to be sure they don’t choose a distracting hat since it is still a school day.
Our Accelerated Reader March Madness celebration will be tomorrow at 10:50. Our class has 18 goal hitters! Hooray! I am proud of the hard work of all of the goal hitters. I am hoping that we have 22 goal hitters for our last Accelerated Reader celebration. That would be our entire class! With 20 minutes of good on-level reading each night, this is definitely achievable for all of my students. Please have your child dress appropriately for outdoor activities. They should definitely wear sneakers. I know the forecast predicts beautiful warm temperatures, but of course, our mornings have still been cool, so a sweatshirt may be a good idea. Your child may also wish to bring a water bottle.
The students worked very hard during the MCAS testing this week. I am proud of their efforts. Please remember that we have Math MCAS during the first week of May.
Enjoy the April vacation. Hopefully, the weather will finally be spring-like so the kids can enjoy the outdoors!
